Week 6 kicks off with an NFC East matchup between the 4-1 Philadelphia Eagles vs the 1-4 New York Giants.
The Eagles are coming off a blown 14pt lead in the 4th quarter against a sneaky Denver Broncos team. There's no shame in losing to a quality team, but the matter in which they did makes it feel like they gave the game away more than the Broncos won it. There continues to be high tension among the Eagles offense as they rank 31st in passing yards per game, and the rushing attack is nothing to brag about either. Having only one turnover threw 5 games is their stronghold, but you have to wonder if the lack of explosive plays in a very safe offense is holding them back too much.
The Giants are coming off a tough loss to a woeful New Orleans Saints team 26-14. After beating a high quality team in the L.A Chargers the week prior, this was a huge disappointment. There's no doubt this is a rebuild year for the Giants starting 1st round QB Jaxson Dart and 4th rounder Cam Skattebo. Both players have showed signs of high potential, but it will take time to get this offense gelled together. Superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers is out for the season with a torn ACL while there's a couple other injuries to this offense being Darius Slayton and the O Line. Several depth players will have to step up to give the Giants a chance this week.
Key Injuries:
New York Giants
WR: Darius Slayton- Knee- OUT
RT: Jermaine Eluemunor- Back- Questionable
Philadelphia Eagles
LB: Nakobe Dean- Knee- Probable
DT: Jalen Carter- Heel- Questionable
G: Landon Dickerson- Ankle- OUT
Prediction:
I believe this will be a low scoring game for most of it as the Giants defense is capable of keeping them in it, but they will tire out if the offense can't stay on the field which is a tall task with so many young pieces against a top defense like the Eagles. I predict a 31-16 Eagles win.
Best Bets:
Eagles -7
A.J Brown over 64.5 rec yards
